Anderson Commercials and Vehicle Specialists are a well-established family run business with over 30 years trading. We specialise in all aspects of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and can carry out all classes of vehicle MOT’s. Our well-equipped workshops are capable of taking all vehicles from motorcycles, cars, light commercials and heavy goods vehicles.

Our other services also include vehicle breakdown and recovery operated by a dedicated team of recovery specialists with a fleet of recovery units from fully equipped single car units, multi car transporters and heavy goods recovery units.

Our workshops are based on our multi-site operation in Ellistown, South Leicestershire

The Role

Due to continuing expansion, we are looking to recruit a Tachograph Technician to work from our Tachograph centre based in Ellistown.

Your daily duties will include routine calibrations of digital, smart and analogue tachograph systems using the latest software and equipment. You will also be responsible for fault finding and diagnostic on a range of tachograph equipment and rectifying the faults presented. We are also an approved tachograph centre for fitting of new equipment and retro fitting of tachographs to customers vehicles as requested. There is also opportunity to work in our main workshop so previous mechanical experience would be beneficial.
Previous tachograph, fault finding and electrical experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given to candidates which show they would like to learn new skills within the workshop environment. A full driving license is preferred and an HGV license would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate would be someone that would like to learn new skills, be a clear communicator, computer literate and willing to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a family run team.

Working Schedule

• Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Also option of shift work for the right candidate of 7am to 5pm or 8am to 6pm.
• Saturday work available
